Dave Train is a leader in technical education and training. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Manchester in England. He has had a distinguished career at Hill Associates that began in a consultant position in 1983 and progressed to his present position as Chief Technical Officer and Senior Member of Technical Staff. Prior to his tenure with Hill Associates, Dave was President of Manchester Software Associates, while employed as Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Vermont. He is coauthor of the book Metropolitan Area Networks (McGraw-Hill) and the technical editor for Telecommunications: A Beginner's Guide (McGraw-Hill/Osborne).
Dave's hobbies include horseback riding, soccer, and cooking.
